karadagli is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am working on radiation heat transfer. I have a fin with 10 layers, with an outer diameter of 90 mm and an inner diameter of 25 mm. I need to analyze the radiation heat transfer from the outer surface of this fin. I am defining a heat flux of 100 W on the surface of a pipe with a 25 mm diameter, on which the fins are placed. However, the heat is not being transferred from the pipe surface to the fin layers. I have created the geometry in SolidWorks. Additionally, I also need to define the radiation heat transfer from surface to surface and from surfaces to air.

Will Fluent calculate the shape factor automatically, or do we need to compute it manually?

Thank you![IMG][/IMG]
