ANSYS Fluent Interface

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using ANSYS Fluent 2025R1 and everything worked perfectly fine until yesterday. Since then I have problems with the interface.

When I open Fluent, it loads the case files correctly, but the interface is missing several elements:

- The Outline View panel on the left does not appear.

- The top menu bar is completely gone.

Only the task page, the user window, and the console are shown (as in the attached picture https://imgur.com/a/rLYgGpY ).

So far I’ve tried the following:

- Restarting Fluent and reloading the case/data files.

- Reinstalling ANSYS.

There are no errors shown in the console or logs. Fluent itself works fine otherwise – this only affects the visualization window.

Has anyone experienced this or knows a solution? Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Hey,

In your user's directory, there must be a configuration file named as ".cxlayout.ini". Delete that file and restart the fluent, that should work.
