I'd like to know if it's possible to export a case file or mesh file from FLUENT and to CFX?? Basically, is there a common format to these two codes?? I know that one can use the PASTRAN format, but some informations are lost in the transfer, like the boundary's condition. so if you know about a specific "procedure" to obtain a mesh file for CFX from a FLUENT mesh file, please let me know!! Thank you in advance.

At least some time ago Fluent converted all cells into shells when exporting to Nastran/Patran but TGrid did it in the right way. I have no idea how to transfer the boundaries.

Hello,

What grid generator did you make the original mesh in ? If you used GeoMesh (ICEM P-CUBE) ICEM CFD Engineering have a direct translator (inc boundary conditions) from a P-Cube domain to CFX.

regards

I'm effectively using GEOMESH! I'm gonna check this direct translator possibility. Thanks! If i cannot do it, i'll probably ask you what procedure you are following!!

Regards,

Frederic.
