absorption and scattering der particle

Hi,all. I simulate off-gas(containing particls) combustion with DO model for radiation. I'd like to consider the effect of particls on the absorption coefficent and scattering coefficient. First I have not included the effect of the particles and got a convergence solution. Then I open Model->Discrete phase Model, turn on the particle Radiation Interaction option, set injection surface and got a convergence solution too. However, when I check the surface average veolicity,temperature,specis concentration at outflow surface, these two situatuins are not different. Then I have checked the absorption coefficient. It is the same for the two situations,too. I hope someone to give me a clue.
