VOF & waves

Hello, I'm a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, I'm involving in a research about using Fluent in order to analyze the flow around a ship hull. I want to analyse the free surface with VOF. Can you tell me some suggestions? After analysis, how can I display the free surface form?

Thanks in advance. Giovanni

You can generate and display an iso-surface of volume fraction (=0.5)

I am interested in the topic that you are going to study (i.e. using Fluent to simulate the Kelvin Ship wake ). In relation to that I would like to ask you the follow questions:

1) How are you going to simulate the ship? 2) How are you going to set the radiation condition at far field? 3) Are you sure that the flow in this problem is laminar or turbulent?

Please try to answer these questions before you actually begin to study this topic!
