Shear Stress Specification at Walls

Hi All,

I am using the slip wall approximation in fluent 5. For that case, the shear stresses at the wall need to be specified to zero or any constant value. In this option, there are 3 components for the shear stresses, i.e. x direction componentes and so on.

Does anyone know for example what the x component of shear stress is? (Txy, Txz or Tyz ?)

Thanks

Daniel

Re: Shear Stress Specification at Walls

For someboby who wants to know the answer for this question. I have given an answer from Fluent in this way:

"Fluent only allows you to specify wall shear stress "vector". If you need to relate the shear stress to a stress tensor, you'll have to construct the tensor elements based on your coordinates..."
