Regarding SYMMETRY boundary condition

Default Regarding SYMMETRY boundary condition

Can the SYMMETRY boundary condition be used to represent a boundary which is at infinity if the flow is LAMINAR?if not,what boundary condition can be specified if i am using FLUENT 5 version for my calculations.
