Tube bank

I am modelling 2D in-line tube bank. I made the wall too far from the tube so it will not effect the flow. I have problem that that highest velocity region appears near the wall or in the cells near the wall and i am expecting the this region to be near the tube. This happend only when i use K&e or RNG K&e. However with Laminar modelling the highest velocity region appear near the tube and that is right.

Re: Tube bank

Try starting with a laminar flow model, run the solution till convergence or near convergence and then switch in to RNG K E and see what happens. I had a similar problem before in working with pipes with internal ribs, and this took care of it. I dont know if that would work in ytour case, but you can give it a shot.

Hi,

Have you checked the convergence by plotting velocity or pressure values in your geometry? it could be possible to run more iterations (e.g. 10-5) for the residuals or see the appearance of a important drop.
