Result interpretation

Hello everybody, I have a flow with heat exchange over a wavy structure. The flow is turbulent! If I look on my Surface heat flux I have got high gradients from cell to cell in some parts. The problem is, if I compare overall values with experimental heat transfer data they are in good agreement, so that I think, that my mesh is sufficient enough for my case. Is it possible that because of turbulent eddies the heat surface heat flux is not very "smooth" from cell to cell?

Thanks for your help

regards Pilli

(1). You can find out the answer by refining your mesh, to see if it is still there. (2). Always try to refine the mesh first, then select different turbulence models and solution algorithms, to see how the solutions vary with respect to these changes.

Thank you and you are right, but the problem is that this project is nearly at the end. I have no time to restart the simulations. Anyway thank you for your help regards Pilli
