Default Internal Thicknesses in 3-D

I am dealing with the use of flow straighteners in a 3-D pipe bend. In the 2-D model, I simply used edges as the straighteners and prescribed a wall thickness in Fluent as part of my boundary conditions. However, I have had no success in employing a thickness for the straighteners in my 3-D model. The only options available are for a roughness constant and a roughness thickness, which I tried, but had little success. I ran the simulation without the straighteners and my solution was accurate, so I know the model should work. I am unsure about how to prescribe the thickness of the straighteners in Fluent. I welcome any suggestions.

The only specification for wall thickness as a BC in FLUENT 5 is when you need to specify a thickness for the heat conduction calculation.

Is the thickness not defined by your geometry? You can: -create 3D thickness for the straighteners, or -define zero-thickness walls to avoid high aspect ratio cells.
