Hello Friends:
I have a question. I am using Discrete Phase Modeling to simulate liquid drops distribution in a flow field. If I continuously inject liquid drops, the drops will appear a distribution in the flow field after a transition period. How can I calculate the volume fraction of drop in the flow field ? Thanks for you help. With best regards, You |

Dear all: Have anybody been using VOF to model free surface flow? Do you encounter some difficulties to quantify air-water interface. In some extents, the air entrainment in water volume fraction existed, although this is unlikely to occur from physics point of view. According to my experience, the quantity of air entrained mainly depend on the air/water volume fraction in post-processing pictures. Anybody had a better technique to capture viscous free surface flow without smearing the free surface in FLUENT VOF application?
