Re: CFD for Polymer extrusion

Hi,

I do not really know, unfortunetaly ... When I studied in the polymer processing field during my PhD thesis, I wrote my own code.

But some friends of mine are using Polyflow, which is a commercial package dedicated to polymer processing with Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. Non-Newtonian fluids considered in this package include shear-thinning, viscoelastic (Maxwell, Oldroyd, ...) and viscoplastic ones and both 2D and 3D problems can be tackled. Meshes can be imported from Gambit, for instance.

You might test it to see if it suits to the problem you would like to simulate.

Hope it can help you Anthony
