2d to 3d by rotation

Hello guys, can we generate 3d meshes from rotating 2d meshes by gambit. thanks in advance

...depends on your 2d geometry and the desired elements or mesh (structured or unstructured), respectively. try in general following: generate a 2d geometry, revolve it around the axis of rotation, mesh one side face, mesh the volume (e.g. by cooper scheme)

IS gambit is having the facility to generate 3d geometries by rotating the 2d geometries? please answer this question

... sorry, I didn't got exactly what you mean. Are you asking if it is in general possibel to generate a 3d geometry by revolving a face? If so than the answer is yes. Check also the manuals about the details. I think it's quite good described there. Philipp
