Hey, I a simulating the flow field and turbulence in large scale tank (diameter=2m, volume 6.28 m3) using the standard ke modelin Fluent5. The grid is about 700.000 cells. Even the mesh is quite fine close in the impeller and baffles area, the y+ values are high (0<y+2500). I used the option adapt the Y+/Y* but it did not help too much. Do you have any other advises? regards Mounir

Did you scale your model? And what about BL? How many cells are about 500? Whiche wall function do you use?
