hi friends,
may be its a very basic question, but its a lot helpful to get the very basic knowledge, so please, if any body can explain the concept of THERMAL BOUNDARY LAYER, it will be of great help. thank you, madasu. |

If you have a hot fluid flowing over a cold plate (say the plate is keep at a constant temperature) then there will be a transition region where the temperature varies from temp_plate to temp_fluid this region is the thermal boundary layer.
