Default Unsteady Inlet B.C. Using UDF - Segmentation #@$!

Hi All

I copied the example for unsteady inlet velocity B.C.s from the manual, it is fine in both interpreted and compiled modes, apart from the fact it crashes! I set up a simple channel flow to test it, which runs with a constant velocity inlet, but as soon as I change to the unsteady velocity UDF and initialize or iterate I get the SEGMENTATION ERROR. I am new to Fluent and I dont know if this is the generic error.

I dont expect anyone to help neccesarily with the UDF prob (if you can then great!) but I want to know people's methods for discovering the roots of SEGMENTATION ERRORs, i.e. do you get better error mesgs by running from the command line????????

Thanks
