air flow simulation in gas turbine enclosure

Hi, I would like to know how to trace the replacement of hot air with fresh air in a gas turbine enclosure and also how to get the time required for the replace ment? Please advice.

Similar to the F curve experiment (see any text on Chemical Reaction Engineering). In short, you want to make a step change in the "species" for a multicomponent, non-reacting species transport calculation.

Monitor the volume-averaged concentration of one of your species (hot air or fresh air; just labels to make them independent) as it goes to 1 (normalized fresh air) or 0 (normalized hot air).

Can you tell me more detail about the simulation? How to put the species?
