hi, Can FLUENT 5 simulate flow patterns such as wavy flow and slug flow for example?

Given a two-phase flow of air and water where the superficial air velocity = 5.59 m/s and superficial water velocity = 0.031 m/s, can FLUENT simulate what kind of flow pattern is it? Is multiphase VOF model or multiphase ASM model more suitable for this case?

(From theory, the flow shown in the above case should be stratified-wavy flow.)

yes fluent can, however you need to refine the interface (if the grid is not fine enough) at every few time steps. DC
