Axial/Radial Mixing Plane in Pump Flow

Dear Fluent Users,

If a mixing plane lies perpendicular to the axis of rotation of a pump for example, how should it be specified in Fluent Define > Mixing Planes > Mixing Plane Geometry menu, as Radial or Axial ?

Alternatively, how should it be defined if it is a cylindrical surface concentric with the axis of rotation ?

Your comments will be appreciated.
