Polymer flow using CFD

Hi everyone,

I am presently involved in a project dealing with the study of polymer flow in an extruder. I would like to simulate the process and like to see the structure of the filament produced. The problem I face is, I use powders as raw materials and the temperature at which I extrude is less than melting point. In other words, I try to simulate the surface melting of the powder. Is it really possible for me to do so using CFD software. I expect my end product to consist of porous structure (obviously). IS it possible for me to get these effects using this software.. And later,, IS it possible to test the mechanical properties of the filament produced using CFD software..

Please do reply me Thanking U all Chubby
