Real Gas Model

Hello dear Fluent Users,

A friend asked me a question about the previous versions of Fluent, i.e. releases before the curret 6, if:

Do the previous releases support real gas computation? If any one can help in this regards that would be so helpful.

Thanks

MJK

Re: Real Gas Model

Yes, F5 has non-gray DO radiation model. But it depends on what you know about the "real gas" - absorption bands and coefficients, etc.

regards

Re: Real Gas Model

Thanks for your reply. I am not modeling radiation. The following lines are copied from a ver. 5.23 fluent session

/define/user-defined> compiled-functions function-hooks real-gas interpreted-functions fan-model

/define/user-defined> rg use real gas? [no] y Invalid switch - "realgas". select real-gas data file [""] "r11" Invalid switch - "realgas".

As you see I get Invalid switch answer in spite of the fact that real gas option is among the choices. I'll be grateful for your help.
