Gray scale Contoures

i want to print gray scale; from lighter to darker for low values to high value or vice versa. i am getting from darker to lighter to darker which is very confusing: i.e. for low values darker and for high values also darker and in between lighter. thanks

hello,

your gray-scale-colors are just the black-and white version of the coloured contourplots. I'd suggest you to double the value of the uppermost contour-level and to double the number of levels.

You real highest level will be in the middle of the entire scale and you will see the same number of different levels on your plot.

Hi!

You can change the colours in the display. Use Display -> Colormaps... and change the "Currently defined" colormap from bgr to gray. Then the colouring is dark (black) for low values and light (white) for high values.

Greetings, P.S
