Hi all,

does anyone has a mathematical answer to that question:

Why is it natural to expect a lot of diffusion with tets?(more then with structured mesh)

I'm trying my best to see why but I can't figure it out. I'm currently not satisfied with my own answer which consists in noticing that with tets the flows is not in the mesh direction.

Any idea, or more developed answer?

Alex

The way i look at it is, that volumetrically, a tet has less face than a cube, so the amount of diffusion per face is greater. Not mathematical, but it does me.
