Hi,everyone. I'm simulating a kind of hot gas, whose initial temperature is above 8000k. But everytime I set it, I see a message from the Fluent text interface "temperature limited to 5.000000e+3". I tried several other material, such as air, argon, still I got the same response. Donesn't fluent can't solve problem beyond the temperature 5000k?What shall I do? Thanks a lot!!!

Hi,

you can change the temperature limit at the menu

Solve -> Controls -> Limits

Dear Fanadam,

As I understood, such a massage about the limitation of temperature (and the others like viscosity) will be obsereved at the begining of simulation. It is since of numerical procedure that FLUENT follows. I don't know whether you let the simulation to go forward or not. But please forget the massage (that I think it is observed at the begining region of iterations) and let the simulation to go forward. If all thing is OK you will see that the problem will be solved. But when? It depends on you geometry and simulation parameters.

In any case, would you please inform me that what is happening.

Best regards

Koorosh

Oh Dear Fanadam,

I'm so sorry, I did write wrong answer since I miss undrstood you. So sorry.

Ok, you can change the limitation by doing the following:

Solve --> Controls --> Limits

Best regards
