timestep duration-a question

For an unsteady flow, is it ok to have a timestep duration as large as say 5 minutes?Thanks. Shankar.

Hi Shankar, Yess it is possible.. even its is possible to have 5 years of time step..provided the convergent criteria is met.. DC
