Hi again!

I saw that Fluent can track the trjectory path of particles.

However can Fluent show me the locations of the particles at different timings, instead of just showing the motion path of the particles.

In my model, I am suppose to model someone coughing. The particles hence will be water droplets. Can I show using transient simulation, for example at time of 5 seconds, where are the particles, and at time 20 secs, where are these particles in the domain?

Yes, Fluent can. Unsteady DPM can do it.

Hi

Can you tell me something more abt it? Because I did experiment on using steady tracking of DPM. I also done some tranisent simulations recently but I did not do a transient DPM together.

I know that during transient modelling, I am able to save data files during the different timings. So do you mean that I can for example open a data file at some time, then track the particles?

But won't that give me the trajectory path like what it did when I did a track and then a display when using the steady tracking? Becos I will like to see dots or spots that represents the contaminants themselves that is, these dots will change their locations at different timeings. I do not want to see just their path describing their motions.

please try DISPLAY/PARTICLE TRACK/REPORT TYPE/STEP BY STEP/REPORT TO FILE. You can use HELP to find details.
