Default turbulence boundary values in the atmosphere

Hi folks,

I´m trying to model an air intake system which will be flown on an aircraft for atmospheric research purposes. In principle, it is a simple tube facing the free air stream. For this modelling, I use a k-epsilon turbulence model. I wonder if anybody can tell me, which values for the "turbulence intensity" and the "turbulence length scale" are appropriate at the inflow boundary conditions far away from the intake? In other words, what are resonable boundary conditions for a k-epsilon model (or turbulence in general) for the free atmosphere at 5-12 km altitude?

Best regards,

Markus

For Turbulence Intesnity a resonable value for atmospheric condition is around 10% and Turbulence length scale you can take it around 70-80% of tube diameter. Hope you get some idea Best of Luck Sohail
