Is it possible to use a UDF to describe what happens in a fan? I am not particularly interested in resolving the flow paths pressure distributions etc within the fan but i would like to add a cylindrical volume which would approximate to putting a fan in the flow.

Fan boundary condition can be applied only to a face zone and not to a fluid zone.
