Hello
I would like to knw whts the Reynolds Number limit for a free flow such as some distance from exit of an Nozzle ...to find if its a turbulent or Laminar Flow..??I have been modelling with Turbulent models for creating an uniformly distributed spray using VOF Model..but Im not sure ..abt whether I shud choose Laminar model or K-e turbulent Model !! Your suggestions are greatly appreciated Thanks Bharath |

Calculate the R no. for both nozzle and inlet. Based on the maximum R no. u should choose the model. If it is below 2000 u could choose Laminar other wise turbulent model. for low range 3000-10000 S-A model is the best as it takes less comuptation time, other wise k-e model.
