Default Convergence Problem with Species Coupled w/Scalar

I am facing a problem in obtaining the convergence for species calculation, which are coupled with partial differential equations as solved by "user defined scalar". The residuals of the product species reached a constant value at 7e-3 after 6000 iterations while other residuals, including the scalars, reduced consistently to 1e-8. Also, the concentration of the product species at the outlet decreased with the number of iteration.

I wonder if anyone has the experience in simulating such a coupled model. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you for your attention.
