you can mesh the model using Gambit!

Yes, but I have had non-positive volume problems when using GAMBIT, so I don't understand your point...

What type of geometry u built up? If the blocks overlapped on each other this could be happen.
1. Try to rebuild and take care when combind or split. 2. Check from gambit how many volumes r there? Is there any unnecessary volumes (double volume) which might be created by copying? If so, remove this. 3. Best way to start from scrach. Alamgir |

Hi Bharath,
I seem to have ran into the same problem! I spent ages building my model from Gambit, and it was successfully exported, Yet, when I did a grid check in Fluent, there was the negative volume problem! I have tried re-starting, re-meshing a few times, but not every time was successful. Thanks for everyone's posting on this thread. I will go back and (1) check for redundant volumes (2) overlapping volumes during meshing and (3) reducing the size of the mesh. I will ask for more help from you guys if it doesnt work. Gracias! |
