Default Radiation modeling through DO method

Hello CFD users:

I am trying to use Discrete Ordinate method to solve for radiative heat transfer in a solid zone with the radiation effects turned off in the fluid zones. Strangely, my solution seems to depend on the absorption coefficient defined for the the fluid zone!! Could any one explain what I might possibly be doing wrong?

Thanks, Sunil.

You cannot have radiative heat tranfer in a solid zone! Just conduction, that's all.
