Default Transfer scanned data to gambit

Hi,

I got some scanned date of a human body. The file style is like *.stl. Reading them in Gambit will give me a lot of non-regular surfaces. And seems those surfaces are not connected well so that it is not possible to create volume from them directly. Does anybody have an idea about how to deal with it? I really appreciate any message you post here.
