how to determine the reference temperature?
 
what's the reference temperature?the mean temperature in fluid , the bulk temperature or other temperature?

The reference temperature is the one you need to calculate an enthalpy for instance. You can more or less choose it freely but stick with common valutes, e.g. T=0C or T=25C. Jürgen

I've been puzzled by the same question for a while until I saw this:

So, the reference temperature corresponds to the formation enthalpy if a reaction is involved in your simulation.
