Default how to set DISPLAY enviroment variable

When I want to use Fluent on a remote computer,it inform me that DISPLAY enviorment variable is not set.My question is how I can set DISPLAY envoirment variable.Thanka a lot

setenv DISPLAY .....:0 ...... is the name of the remote machine..

Hello,Amid:

Thank your help.I set the DISPLAY according to your advice.When I run the FLUENT,it inform me "Error:can't open display.Fluent:error:can't initialize interface". Could you tell me how to deal with this? Thank you a lot

ok peter, do as follows: go to DOS promopt in your computer the c:\windows>telnet sun-xxxxx login: xxxxxx password: xxxxxx % setenv DISPLAY ( host id ) %fluent

the above must work with you.. cheeers

Peter, they appear as in one line..sorry for that but they must be as follows:

c:\windows>telnet sun-xxxxx

login: xxxxxx

password: xxxxxx

% setenv DISPLAY ( host id )

%fluent
