Atmospheric boundary layer modelling

Hi,
I'm modelling an atmospheric boundary layer up to a height of 350m using Fluent. I'm using the k-e turbulence model with inlet profiles of u, k and e and wondered if there's anything particular I need to take into account to obtain a good result. In particular, which near wall treatment should I use. Also, what are good values to use for ground roughness Ks and CKs (flow is over mostly fields)? If anyone has any experience of this kind of simulation I would be grateful for any advice. James. |

Hello James
I am working with the same thing but for stratified atmospheric boundary layer. Do you or anyone else have any good advice how to do it? |

No I'm only working with the bottom 300m or so of the atmospheric boundary layer.

You need a modified k-E accounting for buoyancy.
