i am doing submicron particles from 0.7um to 7um. what puzzle me most is that i got the results almost the same, that is the number of the deposited particle for 0.7um is almost the same as that for 7um.
i thought maybe it is because the brownian force is not treated well in the caculation since i am using les and dpm , and it is turbulent flow in my model. i found in the fluent manual that brownian force is not suitable for turbuelent flow, i feel very strange why it can;'t be treated in turbulent flow. Could anybody give me some suggestion?thanks! |

Hello Candy!
Until I know, you cannot used LES and DPM models because they are not compatible, see apendix A fluent user's guide. Evenmore, I personaly talk to Fluent support and they said that the LES and DPM are not compatible. In addition, a couple days ago, someone post a note asking why particle tracking could not be activate if the flow field was estimated with the LES model. Anyway, I am sure that you cannot use the DPM model with the LES model. Best regards Alex Munoz |
