possibles simulate 1D models
IS it possible to simulate 1D models? If it is possible, how to do?

Hi,
In what context do you want to simulate a 1D model? More details please Mcgregor |
Re: possibles simulate 1D models
thanks a lot. I'm simulating laminar combustion through the porous media. I just want to simulate 1D model. This model should have a inlet and a outlet. Just like a duct Whose axis is parrel to the x axis. And there is no shear stress near the wall. So the Y-velocity is 0m/s. And the wall is mo heat flux.

Re: possibles simulate 1D models
Hi Mashihu,
Although you are only wanting to model a flow in a single direction, you will still need to set up the problem as a 2D problem, with an axis at the centre. Gambit documentation will show you how to set up a duct with an axis of revolution at the centre- http://www.psc.edu/general/software/...mbit/index.htm Fluent documentation will show you how to set up your boundary conditions- http://www.psc.edu/general/software/.../doc/index.htm Good luck and i hope this is of some help Mc |
