ICEM & GAMBIT
Hi,
is it possible to import gambit mesh or ( geometry )from ICEM?..if possible can some one list the step? Thanx.. |
Re: ICEM & GAMBIT
Any comment?

Re: ICEM & GAMBIT
Did you try to import igeas? What are you talking about ICEM2Gambit or Gambit2ICEM?

Gambit to ICEM

Re: ICEM & GAMBIT
Did you try to export geometry in IGEAS CAD format?

Re: ICEM & GAMBIT
In Gambit export geometry as ACIS. The file extension will be sat i.e filename.sat. In ICEM, use import ACIS to Tetin option.

Thanks ff and Amadou, It works..but still long way with ICEM:),,bye.

Re: ICEM & GAMBIT
if you want to import Gambit mesh into ICEM MED in order to improve its quality, and/or do some changes to it, then you can, while in Gambit, choose the one of the solvers whose mesh ICEM reads/(found under Import Mesh). Or you can read this mesh in T-Grid and export it in more options than Gambit provides.
if you want to import geometry file from Gambit to ICEM, you can import it in IGES format, in a form of solid files such as ACIS, Parasolid files, but you have to have/(pay for) a license for these geometry converters (interfaces). As well, you ca use STL or other faceted geometry presentation files to directly create Tetin file (found in Geometry/Import) if you need reversed actions to do, i.e. to start from ICEM and finish them in Gambit, let us know. anna |

Thanks anna,
Can you please give the details of the reversed action? Jim |
