turbulent intensity.

Hello everyone, I am simulating the 3D flow field in the compressor, Re=650000, how can I set the turbulent intensity of the inlet boundary conditions. Now, I give the value 3, but I don¡¯t know whether it is desirable. Thank you.

Hi

Fluent user manual have a section about turbulent intensity, In my opinion this information is suficient to solve your question. However, you have to find the information for yourself.

6.2.2 Determing Turbulent parameters Turbulent Intesity (subsection)

Thank you. I will try to do that again.

Re: turbulent intensity.

see boundary conditions chapter in fluent manual. there you will find the definitions and formula for calculating turbulence intensity for core flow through pipes.
