Question?

I have a general question here. I am learning fluent I have completed most of the tutorial cases. Now I want to apply my knowledge to some cases. Let us take for example a case of "flow through a rectangle with orifice" laminar case. Now I solved sucessfully. But here I just want to know whether the boundary conditions and the mesh density and other things like discreatization scheme which are chosen by me is correct or not. I know experience makes a man perfect but since I am new comer I just want to know how to proceed about it. Yes here if I have experimental data i can check my calculation but it will be impossible for me to get. So please suggest me what to do? ph

Re: Question?

Hi!

You can find a lot of experimental results on internet - for example you can try and solve flow over a well known airfoil (naca for example). The lift and drag coeficients are well documented for these cases. You can simulate flow with different turbulence models, different grid sizes and so on...

Have fun
