Hi,
I want to adapt my grid in fluent using grid adaption using the temperature profile. My simulation is done with a first order scheme. My question is, should i converge the solution on a second order scheme before adapting the grid or is it ok to adapt from the first order solution?? Regards, Eric |

Usually the second order scheme gives more accurate results than the first order one, so also adaption should be better if based on a solution obtained with the 2nd order scheme.
I'd suggest, if possible (no unstable solution) and not too much time expensive, to obtain a converged solution with second order, then to adapt the grid, and let the solution converge again using second order discretization scheme. Hi ap |
