Patching.

Hi,

When a temperature is patched to fluid region as in a combustion simulation to provide the spark, is that temperature there for the rest of the calculation or is it just there as an initial spark. Will the patch be removed from the calculation as the iterations proceed, i.e. if too many cells are 'patched' with a high temperature can this have an affect on the result?

Thanks

Mark

Re: Patching.

Patching a variable is just like initializing it to a value.

The patched value is used as initial value of that variable for the calculation.
