Poisson's equation can be solved in Fluent?

Hi,

Does someone know that a variable governed by the Poisson's equation can be solved in Fluent using UDF.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

I think you may want a UDS "User Defined Scalar" This solves poissons equation and there is a fair amount of information about it in the UDF manual

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your message. But UDS is solved by N.S not Poisson Equation. Is it right?

Do you have any suggestion for that.

I copied this out of the manual, does it help?

Flux Function is a drop-down list containing available functions for the convection term of the user-defined scalar transport equation(s).

none (the default) indicates that there is no convection term included in the scalar transport equation(s); i.e., you want to solve a Poisson equation instead of a convection/diffusion equation.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you very much,

It is very helpful.

Best regards,
