Moving mass transfer boundary?

Dear Fluent users!

Does anyone know if I can have a moving mass transfer B.C.???

hi Dimitrios,

It is an interesting question and can you make it more specified?

good luck.

Re: Moving mass transfer boundary?

Well...what I wanted to do was to simulate some sort of combustion. I know the rate of the solid that burns and turns into energy and I want to make one of the boundaries of that solid to move, that is for simulating that the solid becomes less and less but in the same time I want that moving boundary to be a variable mass flow boundary.... Was I clear enough CCC?

hi Dimitrios,

Clear. really interesting. I have no experience on such boundary.

Since Fluent uses the grid velocity in the impletation of dynamic mesh, moving mass transfer boundary is possible.

good luck.
