Default Transient solution

Hi, I am trying to solve a natural conveciton problem using transient scheme, the method is to iterate using the transient method to reach steady state. my question is how do I know when it reaches steady state, of course the oscilations should damp out, but what happens is that is keeps oscillating on a smaller range. Fluent help says iterate till your frequency is 0.02-0.05 t, I am not sure how to find the frequency. If you can help me with a way to check how steady my solution is I will appreciate, or if you can tell me how to find the frequency. Thanks alot in advance Elyyan

To evaluate frequency, you can create a monitor on a point of your system and plot a significant parameter (velocity, for example).

Hi!

After you plot the significant parameter you can save it and open it in PLOT-FFT to get the frequency diagram.
