boundary separation point

Hi,

In modeling a laminar flow (Re=450) with a small baffle sitting in the middle of flat-sheet channel, I found Fluent CAN predict pretty well the separation point due to the adverse pressure gradient.

My question is: Fluent also predicts vortex effect in the wake. Since only laminar solver was used in modeling, how did Fluent calculate that mixing and vortex effect and pressure distribution? Is there anny turbulent model incoroprated in its laminar model?

Thanks,

Ming
