CAVITATION (convergence)

Hi all;
I want to model cloud cavitation arround a simple hydrofoil(CLE). At first I begin with a high outlet pressure corresponding with non-cavitating condition. Then decrease pressure to reach my operating condition at .002s with this manner(50bar,30bar,10bar,5bar,cav number .4,cav number .35,cav number .3, cav number 2.7,and 2.5) At pressure corresponding to cavitation number .3, cavitation occures.But after some time steps, the velocity because the formation of re-entrant jet,become very high(150 m\s) Note: I use a grid with 30000 nodes and I use a modified turbulent viscisity recommended by Reboud et al. Thanks. |

Hi!
I'm a little bit confused. You have written cavitation number 0.3! Is that a mistake (you actually mean 3.0) or are you really trying to simulate cavitation number 0.3. regards MATEUS |
