Entropy Generation in compressible flow

I have recently completed a CFD study on high pressure turbine blades operating under compressible and incompressible flow conditions. The main focus of this investigation has been the entropy generation rate. I am finding it in increasingly difficult to obtain information linking compressible flow and entropy generation. Can the equations for calculating the entropy generation rate for incompressible flows be applied to compressible flow or are there additional terms?

The study was conducted using both the RNG k-epsilon and the k-omega turbulence models. The k-omega models prediction of the boundary layer edge velocity seems to be significantly lower than that of the RNG model. I have delved into the mathematics of both models but have not been found any answers.

Your ideas/comments would be greatly appreciated,

regards,

Dave Fogarty
