BC for saiboat keel simulation

Hi everybody; I have to model a sailboat keel (basically a 3d wing with a naca0010 airfoil section), and I created an HEX-structured grid of approx 400.000 cells using a cubic control volume; I used an inlet velocity BC at the inlet, an outflow BC at the outlet, and a wall BC at the top face but I can't figure how to set the BC for the other 3 faces (sides and bottom). Can anyone suggest me a good set of BC's? thanks

Hi

It's probably best to use symmetry plane boundary conditions for the outer boundaries, so long as they are placed far enough away from the keel surfaces. You could possibly use a parallel inlet boundary condition instead i.e. set to the same velocity as the principle inlet boundary condition. The free surface should also be modelled as a symmetry plane.

Hope this helps.
